INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA has released the latest standings for the 2013 NCAA Most Dominant Wrestler Award and most falls and tech falls in Divisions I, II and III.
A minimum of 16 matches are required to be eligible for the Most Dominant Wrestler standings this week. That required match total will increase by one per week until 18 matches is reached. For match results to be counted towards any of the award standings they must come against opponents within the same division.
Ohio State’s Logan Stieber (133 pounds) continues to lead all divisions in the Most Dominant Wrestler standings, averaging 5.5882 points. In Division I he is trailed by Kent State’s 197-pounder, Dustin Kilgore, who owns a 5.1212 average.
In Division II, St. Cloud State’s Shamus O’Grady (174 pounds) jumped over the previous leader, Carl Broghammer of Upper Iowa, to capture the top spot in the standings this week with a 4.6364 points average. Pittsburgh-Johnstown’s Travis McKillop improved one spot to No. 2 in the standings (4.55), while Broghammer slipped to third (4.5294).

The Division II standings are again led by Jeffery Vesta of Newberry. The 125-pounder added two pins to his total from a week ago, bringing him to a divisional best 11.
In the tech fall standings, David Taylor of Penn State remains the Division I leader with eight as of Feb. 10. Taylor is followed closely by Cornell’s Nahshon Garrett (125 pounds) who owns seven.
Dylan D’Urso of Mercyhurst leads the Division II tech fall standings for a fourth consecutive week, with six at 133 pounds.
Ohio Northern’s Kyle Kwiat remains the cross-divisional leader in tech falls with 14, six more than any other wrestler and eight more than anyone in Division III.
The Most Dominant Wrestler standings are calculated by adding the total number of points awarded through match results and dividing that number by the total number of matches wrestled. Points awarded per match are as follows:
*Fall, forfeit, injury default or DQ = 6 points (-6 points for a loss)
*Tech falls = 5 points (-5 points for a loss)
* Major decision = 4 points (-4 points for a loss)
*Decision = 3 points (-3 points for a loss)
