Three Case Western Reserve wrestlers among Ohio plane crash victims
Four Case Western Reserve students were killed in a plane crash Monday night. The Cessna 172R crashed near a regional airport outside of Cleveland.
The victims have been identified as sophomores William Michael Felten of Saginaw, Michigan, and Lucas Marcelli of Massillon, Ohio. Also on board the plane were freshmen John Hill of St. Simons, Georgia, and Abraham Pishevar of Rockville, Maryland.
Three of the four -- Marcelli, Pishevar and Hill -- were members of the university’s varsity wrestling team.
“We are truly heartbroken about these promising lives cut short,” CWRU President Barbara R. Snyder said, “and feel profound sympathy for their loved ones and friends.”
