Week 5 Movers

There was little movement at the top as the first five teams stayed in the same order, but behind them, the statistics shook out a little harder with Michigan State taking a tumble, falling 12 spots out of the Power Rankings. North Carolina, which posted a 66-0 shutout against Idaho, made the biggest leap into the top 15, coming in at No. 12. Not to be missed: Northwestern also made a jump into the rankings, edging into the No. 14 spot with a sparkling 5-0 record.

2	Texas Tech Shop	2,972.29	4-0	Do they actually play defense in the Big 12? Texas Tech -- No. 1 in total defense at 167.5 ypg -- is showing them how in Lubbock.
3	Alabama Shop	2,619.43	5-0	Three of the next four games are on the road but after giving up just 14 points in two SEC contests, will it matter?
4	LSU Shop	2,476.20	5-0	A couple close calls is sure to get the Mad Hatter's attention. Still, the Tigers are finding new ways to win.
5	Oregon Shop	2,367.37	5-0	Washington State slowed the Ducks. Now, Washington will be looking for its second big upset in a row. It's getting interesting folks.
6	Arizona St. Shop	2,277.30	4-1	One more week, then the Sun Devils find out what they're made of when facing Oregon, UCLA, Oregon State and USC. Good luck.
7	Georgia Shop	2,138.98	5-0	Everyone would love to have the Bulldogs' RB depth. The scary part? Both Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall are freshmen. Yikes.
8	Oklahoma St. Shop	1,956.22	2-2	Don't let the freshman QB or the record deceive you: Oklahoma State can still play. Watch again the next couple weeks and you'll see.
9	UCLA Shop	1,940.76	4-1	Johnathan Franklin is getting the headlines, rightfully so, but watch QB Brett Hundley sometime. The guy has that 'it' factor, too.
10	Nebraska Shop	1,893.93	4-1	Two of the largest come-from-behind wins have come in the past 13 months. Wisconsin still doesn't know what hit it in the second half.
11	South Carolina Shop	1,842.17	5-0	Hide the visors. Georgia is 11th in total offense. Ol' Ball Coach's Gamecocks are 13th in total defense. Something has to give.
12	North Carolina Shop	1,759.50	3-2	A blowout helps, but the Tar Heels will have to keep their feet on the gas with two of the next three on the road.
13	TCU Shop	1,755.88	4-0	Just win. That's all the Horned Frogs worry about, not stats, which is good because they weren't pretty vs. SMU, just good enough.
14	Northwestern Shop	1,678.50	5-0	Are things looking rosey for the Wildcats? Flying under the radar in the under-performing Big Ten may be the perfect recipe.
15	Texas Shop	1,653.00	4-0	We're not going to say whether it was a fumble or not, but we will say that was a heckuva game. And the Horns are for real again.
