Week 3 Movers

Crunch the stats like we do and was easy to see which teams might move this week. Texas opened up the offense, letting David Ash solidify himself into what was once a shaky QB situation. With 326 passing yards and four TDs, it's not so up-in-the-air anymore as the Longhorns jumped six spots in the Power Rankings. In case it wasn't apparent before, Mississippi, giving up 676 yards in that same game won't help a team stay in our top 15.

2	Texas Tech Shop	2,507.84	3-0	The Red Raiders are serving notice: Six passing TDs. Two 100-yard rushers. And a squad that ranks second nationally in total D.
3	Oklahoma St. Shop	1,932.55	2-1	OSU coach Mike Gundy has his next QB -- or two. Wes Lunt got injured so J.W. Walsh threw for 347 yards and four TDs. No biggie.
4	LSU Shop	1,810.78	3-0	LSU's fourth-ranked defense is firing on all cylinders, but those O-linemen have the offense moving as fast. Now, that's not fair.
5	Texas Shop	1,700.28	3-0	David Ash looked nice throwing the ball, but in case you missed it, 11 players combined for 350 yards on the ground.
6	UCLA Shop	1,655.64	3-0	Everyone expected Oklahoma St. (No. 1) and West Virginia (No. 3) to be high on the total offense list. But UCLA (No. 2)? We believe.
7	Arizona Shop	1,652.09	3-0	The Wildcats jumped 26 places this week into our top 10. Allowing zero points and 156 total yards will do that.
8	Oregon Shop	1,621.99	3-0	Last week's leading UO rusher: Kenjon Barner? No. De'Anthony Thomas? Nope. Try Byron Marshall. They just keep coming, folks.
9	Alabama Shop	1,592.90	3-0	With back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 1980, we expected Bama back in here. It'll be higher after next week. Sound familiar?
10	Oklahoma Shop	1,394.03	2-0	An idle week dropped OU seven spots. With K-State coming to town, it'll be interesting to see where the Sooners are next week.
11	Georgia Tech Shop	1,355.73	2-1	The Yellow Jackets looked like a different team, racking up 461 rushing yards vs. Virginia. Now, can they do it two weeks in a row?
12	Clemson Shop	1,354.37	3-0	Welcome back, Sammy. We missed Mr. Watkins and his quick-as-lightning moves as shown on that TD run Saturday. Ahh.
13	TCU Shop	1,283.22	2-0	It wasn't pretty, but the Horned Frogs got a W in their first Big 12 game, although it was supposed to against a 91st-ranked D.
14	Georgia Shop	1,279.75	3-0	Up just 14 at the half against Florida Atlantic? Luckily the Dogs weren't the same team in the second half. Now, onto the SEC.
15	Kansas St. Shop	1,233.23	3-0	The Purple Pounders -- K-State's double-barreled ground attack of Collin Klein and John Hurbert -- aren't flashy, but man they work.
