Week 6 Movers

It may look funny having Florida State and Texas Tech so high in the Power Rankings, but the stats will shake out by the end of the year. Look at last season: On Oct. 2, Wisconsin was No. 1 and Georgia Tech was No. 2. Waiting in the weeds? No. 3 Alabama. Fast-forward 12 months and we have the same scenario with the Tide and Oregon. So let's welcome newcomer Notre Dame with open arms and see where the stats take us next week.

5	Arizona St. Shop	2,277.30	4-1	Everyone is concentrating on offense in the Pac-12, but has anyone noticed the Devils are 10th nationally in total defense? You should.
6	South Carolina Shop	2,271.45	6-0	On first inspection, we thought the Cocks should be higher. But then we found out Ace Sanders actually isn't still running wild.
7	LSU Shop	2,239.53	5-1	Florida had the cinnamon and the Tigers didn't like it. Then again, there isn't much black pepper in the SEC this year.
8	North Carolina Shop	2,122.83	4-2	We talk a lot about Gio Bernard and his exploits in the backfield. It's worth it again after what he did to Virginia Tech last week.
9	Notre Dame Shop	1,978.94	5-0	The only time we like watching the Irish is when they're on D. (You too? Wierd) Manti Te'o is just that: a man.
10	Oklahoma St. Shop	1,956.22	2-2	Here's one stat we're not including in our formula, but maybe we should: The Cowboys have played just one game since Sept. 15.
11	West Virginia Shop	1,833.45	5-0	STOP. THE. PRESSES. Come forward right now if you knew there was a running back on the roster at WVU. No, seriously.
12	Kansas St. Shop	1,816.36	5-0	Where does he come up with these guys? Bill Snyder always finds the newest Collin Klein and John Hubert. And wins with them.
13	Georgia Shop	1,702.78	5-1	Maybe it'll get better. Dogs have Kentucky, Ole Miss, Auburn, Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech in last 6 games.
14	TCU Shop	1,663.05	4-1	Iowa State LB Jake Knott doesn't think the Cyclones' win should be called an upset. The way both teams played, neither do we.
15	Texas A&M Shop	1,582.73	4-1	Hurricane Isaac postponed the matchup with La. Tech, and now both teams are ranked? Sounds like a game we want to see.
