Penn State Takes Fencing Title

Penn State led after each of the first three days at the NCAA Fencing Championships. Then the Lions took another leap forward, taking wins in the epee and foil to claim the 2009 Fencing Championship, their 11th.

Irish Improve To 20-0

The top-ranked Notre Dame men's fencing team won three bouts at the Duke Duals to move to 20-0 on the season. The Irish posted three wins at the event, opening with 16-11 triumph over 10th-ranked North Carolina.

Miller Wins No. 1,200

North Carolina treked all the way to Chicago. but the trip was well worth it for the Tar Heels as a victory over Johns Hopkins pushed coach Ron Miller to the 1,200-wins mark for his 42-year career.
