Princeton, N.J. - In what seemed to be a tough day for Penn State men's saber and foil, epee was able to fight through and take first. Women were able to capitalize and go undefeated for the duals. Willette, Ferdman, Westman, and Bauch did not lose a single dual on the day.

Women defeated Duke, Temple, Drew, UPenn, and Haverford in saber, foil, and epee to take first in all. After a previous injury, senior Caitlin Thompson (Portland, Ore.) came back with an impressive record of 9-11 in saber for the day. Along with Thompson, freshman Monica Aksamit (Matawan, N.J.) showed off her talents with a 13-15 record.

In foil, red-shirt sophomore Doris Willette (Lafayette, Calif.) did extremely well in the competition with a 9-9 record for the day. Senior Allison Glasser (Piedmont, Calif.) did just as well winning 8 out of 9. Freshman, Lauren Bauch (Califon, N.J.) showed off her skill in Princeton going 6-6, completely undefeated.

Finally, women's epee did well with two fencers going undefeated. Anastasia Ferdman (Maalot, Israel) went 11-11, while freshman Nina Westman (Kalmar, Sweden) went 8-8.

In men's epee James Moody (Denver, Colo.) remained strong going 7-9. Brian Heflich (East Setauket, N.Y.) also helped the team with his 5-6 record. Chinman, Dettlinger, and Cimet also proved to be vital roles in the win.
 
Although men's saber and foil both fell to UPenn, there were impressive records in both areas. Daniel Bak (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) had 13 wins out of 15 and Wolfgang Rafert (Portland, Ore.) went 4-6 in his debut. Michael El-Saleh (Houston, Texas) also did well going 11 for 15 and Samuel Perkins (Petaluma, Calif.) helped the team with 9 wins out of 13.
