NCAA Release

INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee has announced the participants for the 2009 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.

A total of 400 participants will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching an automatic standard established for each event with additional selections taken from the field of provisional qualifiers.

The championships will be held March 13-14 in Houston, Texas at Yeoman Field House.  The University of Houston will serve as the host of the championships and will be a part of the 2009 NCAA Division II Winter National Championships Festival.

The Division II Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships will be streamed lived on www.NCAA.com both days of the championships.  It is encouraged that you link up to NCAA.com on your intuition’s Web site.  Highlights of the Division II Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships will be shown on CBS at 1 p.m. Eastern time, Saturday, May 2.  The seasonal show features highlights of 17 different NCAA championships that took place during the winter.
