Furman: Furman's Warner Tabbed SoCon Runner of the Week
Oct. 1, 2008 SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Furman cross country runner Michael Warner has been named Southern Conference Men's Runner of the Week as voted on by the conference cross country coaches, the conference office announced Wednesday. The senior helped pace the Paladins to a first-place finish at The Citadel Invitational by crossing the finish line first in the 8K with a time of 26:47.81. The time was a career-best for Warner. He was one of eight Paladins to finish in the top 10. Furman defeated fellow SoCon teams The Citadel and College of Charleston to take home the crown. |
