After falling just one second shy of an individual championship last year, Oregon's Galen Rupp would not be denied this time around, finishing five seconds ahead of Liberty's Sam Chelanga to claim the title and pace Oregon's team championship in the men's race, while Washington took the women's crown on Monday.

Middlebury, Cortland Take D-III Crowns

The Middlebury women and Cortland State men are the 2008 cross country team champions, each scoring resounding victories on the course at Hanover, Indiana. For Middlebury, it was the fifth national title in program history. For Cortland, it was the very first.
