RIT got revenge on Norwich in the national championship game on Saturday night. The Tigers -- after losing 5-2 in last year's title game -- captured their first national title by running by the Cadets 4-1.

RIT may have won the program's first national championship on Saturday, but the celebration didn't stop there. The Tigers earned their 28th win in the process, setting a Division III women's record.

RIT scored three third-period goals to break open a 1-1 tie and top Norwich 4-1 in Saturday's national title game. Celeste Brown had a goal and two assists to help spark the Tigers to victory.

In theory, it could have been just about anyone. In retrospect, it had to be Julie Fortier. She scored 4:07 into OT to lift Norwich by Gustavus Adolphus 4-3, and back into the national title game.
