Junior attacker Kaitlin Hildebrand hit the game-winning goal to give Trinity (Conn.) its first national championship. The Bantams defeated previously unbeaten and top-ranked Salisbury 8-7.

Though Trinity (Conn.) won its first national title, it was the third for Kate Livesay. After winning two titles as a player with Middlebury, Livesay returned to the top -- this time as the Bantams' head coach.

Salisbury Athletics

Despite falling behind in all three tournament games thus far, Salisbury has rallied in each of them. Things were no different on Saturday as the Sea Gulls overcame an early deficit to drop Middlebury.

Liz Bruno was destined to play Division I lacrosse. But after suffering a torn ACL in high school, destiny changed for Bruno who will be looking to earn Trinity (Conn.) its first national title on Sunday.
