North Carolina State University
Since being founded in March 7, 1887, North Carolina State University has strived for excellence and succeeded in becoming one of the nation's most outstanding universities. With more than 31,000 students from all 50 states and 100 foreign countries, North Carolina State has emerged as a national leader in science, engineering and technology.
As a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), North Carolina State has excelled for many years on the athletics field. In 2008-2009, North Carolina had 12 teams that advanced to post-season, won a conference tournament or finished in the top 25 nationally. Student-athletes excelled in the classroom as well. North Carolina State placed 178 scholar-athletes on the ACC Academic Honor Roll (G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher). Four North Carolina State graduates earned ACC postgraduate scholarships, while two scholar athletes were granted NCAA postgraduate scholarships.
Town of Cary
Cary is a thriving community in the heart of the Triangle area of North Carolina, between Raleigh and renowned Research Triangle Park. The Triangle area repeatedly has ranked among the top regions in the country to live or work, to find a home or start a business, to raise a family or retire.
The January 2004 issue of Money Magazine names Cary, N.C. the hottest town in the East and one of six Hottest Towns in America.In August 2006, Cary was again recognized by Money Magazine as one of the Best Small Cities in America, ranking fifth on the magazine's 2006 list of Best Places to Live. Cary was named an NCAA "Championship City" in 2008.
Capital Area Soccer League (CASL)
The Capital Area Soccer League was incorporated in 1974 as a 501 (C) (3) non-profit. The mission of the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) is to provide instructional and competitive youth soccer opportunities that enhance character, community and love of the game of soccer. Integrated in this is the building of self-esteem, self-confidence, team work, respect for self and others, and all the inherent benefits of physical exercise.
CASL is home to over 20,000 players, coaches, officials, parents, volunteers, and supporters with over 800 teams. The club serves the greater Raleigh area and its youth from ages 4 to 18 at all levels of play.
