COLUMBIA, Mo. - Junior Greg DeStephen and sophomore Dante Jones closed out the final day of Zones with each diver posting a top-five finish. DeStephen placed third, while Jones came in fifth. With only five NCAA qualifying spots up for grabs, and some of the best divers in the country competing in the "D" Zone, the Tiger men were unable to secure an NCAA bid. This marks the first time the men's team hasn't sent a diver to NCAA's since 2004. DeStephen scored a 342.65 in the preliminary round, the third-highest score amongst the 10 divers competing. He followed that up with a 327.80 in the finals. During Jones' preliminary set, he tallied a score of 314.90, and improved on that with a 334.40 in the finals round. |
