Stanford's Bollier Multiple Winner At Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif.-- Bobby Bollier and Eugene Godsoe each won two events to lead the Cardinal at the Pacific Invitational on Saturday.

Bollier was a part of three wins overall, as he finished off his day by swimming the third leg of the 800 relay, as the Cardinal won that event with a time of 6:47.18. Bollier also won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:49.55 and the 100 fly with a mark of 50.01.

The Cardinal dominated the 200 butterfly against the five other teams at the meet, posting the five fastest times in that event. Overall the Cardinal won eight of the 10 events they entered on Saturday against the Tigers, Cal, BYU and Air Force.

For Godsoe, he won the 100 backstroke with a time of 48.44 and the 200 event with a time of 1:47.40.

David Mosko, who was the anchor leg of the 800 relay team, also finished second to teammate Chad La Tourette in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:31.85 and was second to Bollier in the 200 fly with a time of 1:46.65. La Tourette led the field in the 500 with a time of 4:29.90.

Also winning for the Cardinal was Josh Charnin-Aker, who won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:53.02 and Curtis Lovelace, who won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:04.24.

The Cardinal are next in action when both the men's and women's teams host their alumni, Homecoming Saturday, October 24 at 9 a.m.
