INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Committee has selected the 41 teams that will participate in the Championships.

The teams will play a single-elimination tournament with the first, second and third rounds played at non-predetermined regional sites. The quarterfinal, semifinal and final rounds will be played at Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges, May 19-24.

The selection of teams for the championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and eligibility and availability of student-athletes. The committee selected teams from the following:

Pool A - 27 teams from conferences with automatic qualifiers. Pool B - eight teams from independents or conferences without automatic qualifiers. Pool C - six additional teams from conferences with or without automatic qualifiers and independents.

Pod #1: Washington U. in St. Louis Teams: 1. Washington U. in St. Louis (19-2) 2. DePauw (21-3) 3. Grinnell (18-9) 4. Carthage (17-6) 5. Westminster (Missouri) (13-6)

Pod #2: Emory Teams: 1. Emory (16-3) 2. Mary Washington (18-10) 3. North Carolina Wesleyan (14-0) 4. Hampden-Sydney (13-5) 5. Transylvania (17-3)

Pod #3: UC Santa Cruz Teams: 1. UC Santa Cruz (13-7) 2. Claremont-M-S (25-5) 3. Redlands (19-8) 4. Whitman (24-4)

Pod #4: Middlebury Teams: 1. Middlebury (19-2) 2. Skidmore (15-2) 3. MIT (16-2) 4. Ithaca (17-4) 5. Baruch (12-3)

Pod #5: Amherst Teams: 1. Amherst (24-6) 2. Johns Hopkins (15-3) 3. TCNJ (10-2) 4. Roger Williams (17-6) 5. Wilkes (16-1) 6. St. Joseph's (Long Island) (13-3)

Pod #6: Williams Teams: 1. Williams (12-5) 2. Bowdoin (11-6) 3. Vassar (10-8) 4. Massachusetts-Dartmouth (12-1) 5. Neumann (15-3)

Pod #7: Kenyon Teams: 1. Kenyon (19-7) 2. Carnegie Mellon (19-7) 3. Kalamazoo (15-8) 4. Mount Union (20-4) 5. Lebanon Valley (11-7)

Pod #8: Gustavus Adolphus Teams: 1. Gustavus Adolphus (25-8) 2. Texas-Tyler (19-6) 3. Luther (36-5) 4. Wisconsin-Whitewater (21-8) 5. Wisconsin-Eau Claire (24-9) 6. Concordia (Wisconsin) (14-10)

In the 2008 championship, Washington U. in St. Louis defeated Emory 5-3 to claim the title.
