The past few years have not been easy for Nova Southeastern. Coaching upheaval coupled with injuries gave the Sharks ample cause for concern. However, stability has turned the school into champions.

Nova Southeastern defeated Barry on Sunday to win its first national championship in rowing. The Sharks tallied 20 points, to the Bucs' 15. Former champ Western Washington finished third.

Barry's Varsity 4 advanced to the Grand Final on Sunday with its victory against Mercyhurst on the second day of the NCAA championship. The V4 will join the Bucs' Varsity 8 boat on the final day.
