Florida Gulf Coast Athletics

Kirsten Bembnowski and Emily Lanier hit solo home runs and Florida Gulf Coast defeated Florida 2-1. The Eagles earned their first win against Florida and the program's first NCAA tournament victory.

Miami (Ohio) Athletics

Two hits was all the offense Miami (Ohio) needed on Friday. The RedHawks buckeled down in the field and at the mound to upset seventh-seeded Tennessee in Regional action.

Northwestern Athletics

Northwestern's Amy Letourneau got into a few jams, but shut down Texas when she needed to most. Letourneau stranded 13 Longhorn runners and led the Wildcats to a 2-0 victory.
