The "Watch List" for the 2012 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year has been announced, with Cal, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas leading the way with three student-athletes each.

BYU accepted an invitation to join the Pacific Coast Softball Conference beginning in 2013. The Cougars have made the NCAA tournament the past seven seasons.
