Stanford claimed its 17th national title with a close 4-3 victory against Texas A&M. Kristie Ahn sealed the win for the Cardinal by defeating Aggie Cristina Stancu in three sets.

Stanford surprised many by becoming the lowest seed to win an NCAA championship. After winning the doubles point against Texas A&M, the Cardinal had to fight to claim its 17th national title.
