No. 13 Loyola-Chicago defeated Ball State in four sets on Thursday night in the conference opener for both squads. Cody Caldwell helped lead the Ramblers' charge by recording 14 kills.

Ohio State's Shawn Sangrey recorded a match-high 26 kills to lead the 10th-ranked Buckeyes to a four-set win against No. 12 Pacific on Saturday.

Joe Sunder had a match-high 17 kills to lead No. 8 Penn State past No. 4 Stanford on Friday. The Nittany Lions won the final two sets after splitting the first two.
