Following wins against Pepperdine, Southern California and UC Santa Barbara last week, UCLA moved up two spots to sit atop the current AVCA Coaches' poll.

The first set on Sunday saw 86 total points scored and lasted 46 minutes. No. 6 Lewis endured to win that set and take the game against Ball State.

No. 7 Stanford won a hard-fought sweep against No. 1 BYU on Saturday. The Cardinal and the Cougars battled to the wire in each set, none decided by more than two points.

After dropping the first set, ninth-ranked Ohio State defeated California Baptist 3-1 on Friday at the Penn State Invitational. Shawn Sangrey recorded a match-high 23 kills to lead the Buckeyes to victory.
