Courtesy of Nebraska Athletics NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 2 Nebraska bowling team finished second in its last meet of the 2008-09 regular season. The Huskers posted an 11-2 record over the three-day Music City Classic held in Nashville, Tenn. Top-ranked Vanderbilt placed first with a 12-2 record. Freshman Valerie Calberry led the way for Nebraska, posting a 201 average. Junior Cassandra Leuthold followed close behind with a 200 average, while freshman Danielle van der Meer placed seventh with a 196 average. The Huskers will await a bid to the 2009 NCAA Championships held on April 9-11 in Detroit, Michigan. The NCAA selection show is set to air at approximately 5:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, March 25, from an in-house studio at the NCAA national office. Final Team Results |
