Syracuse Takes First-Ever Win Over Providence

Courtesy of Syracuse PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Syracuse women’s ice hockey team beat the Providence Friars, 3-1, for its first win of the season on Saturday, Oct. 17. It was SU’s first meeting against the Friars, who are receiving votes in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey polls. Junior co-captain Stefanie Marty matched a career-high with two goals, while sophomore Janelle Malcolm added one late in the third period to secure the win. |
