For years, collegiate water polo has been dominated by teams from the West Coast. After a strong showing by a young nucleus this year, Princeton is on its way to changing that philosophy.

USC won its seventh title and became the first team to win four in a row as the Trojans topped rival UCLA 7-4 in the 2011 national championship match.

USC scored three goals in the second period and was able to defeat UCLA for a 7-4 victory to win the NCAA championship. Joel Dnnerley made 14 saves to lead the Trojans to their fourth consecutive title.
