For years, collegiate water polo has been dominated by teams from the West Coast. After a strong showing by a young nucleus this year, Princeton is on its way to changing that philosophy.

USC won its seventh title and became the first team to win four in a row as the Trojans topped rival UCLA 7-4 in the 2011 national championship match.

One championship is considered a head coach's crowning acheivement. Four in a row is historic. For Southern California coach Jovan Vavic, going through the journey with his son made it priceless.

USC scored three goals in the second period and was able to defeat UCLA for a 7-4 victory to win the NCAA championship. Joel Dnnerley made 14 saves to lead the Trojans to their fourth consecutive title.
