The 2017 NCAA Women’s College World Series will once again be held at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium - OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City, June 1-7, 2017. It will be the 36th annual NCAA Division I Softball Championship and the 27th time that Oklahoma City and ASA Hall of Fame Stadium - OGE Energy Field will host this premier college softball championship event.
ALL-SESSION TICKETS - RENEWALS
Current all-session ticket holders who wished to renew their seats for the 2017 WCWS received renewal information from the NCAA and the Oklahoma City All Sports Association in July 2016. The renewal deadline for accounts to be paid in full was Friday, September 30, 2016. During the online renewal process, all-session ticket holders had the opportunity to upgrade their seats, or add / remove seats from their account.
ALL-SESSION TICKETS - DEPOSITS
Fans interested in becoming all-session ticket holders for the 2017 WCWS had the opportunity beginning in April 2016 to reserve their seats with a $25 per seat deposit. Fans who placed a deposit were notified by the NCAA and the Oklahoma City All Sports Association of their seat locations, subject to availability, in early November 2016. Final payment for the remaining account balance was due Friday, November 25, 2016.
GENERAL PUBLIC ON SALE
Upon conclusion of both the Renewal and Deposit processes, tickets to the 2017 Women's College World Series were made available to the general public (subject to availability) on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
The Division I Softball Committee will conduct selections for the 2017 NCAA Division I Softball Championship May 14, 2017. The 64-team field will be selected from 283 NCAA Division I institutions sponsoring the sport of softball. Of the 64 teams, 32 teams will receive automatic qualification with the remaining best 32 teams selected on an at-large basis. Sixteen teams will be seeded and each of the seeded teams will be placed at one of the regional sites.
The 2017 NCAA Division I Softball Championship bracket will be announced Sunday, May 14, 2017 (TIME & NETWORK TBD).
Regionals for the NCAA Division I Softball Championship were held May 19-21, 2017 on 16 campus sites. At each campus site, a four-team, double-elimination tournament was conducted and the 16 winning teams advanced to the Super Regionals.
Super Regionals for the NCAA Division I Softball Championship were held May 25-28, 2017 on eight campus sites. At each site, two teams played in a best-of-three tournament format. The winners from each site advanced to the NCAA Women’s College World Series.
