Jason Genck leads the three-time national gold medal award winning parks, recreation and libraries department in Westminster, Colorado in the Denver Metro area. He has chosen a life of public service which has provided him and his family a journey through Chicago (IL), Phoenix (AZ), and Springfield-Eugene (OR) before arriving in Westminster. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to enriching the quality of life through excellence in the field of parks and recreation.
Raised in south Chicago, Genck loved to play sports and connect with people. Through his inter-racial sports team experiences and his diverse neighborhood roots, he developed an open mind, competitive spirit, and optimistic attitude. These lessons have continued to shape and impact his life, as he applies these experiences to his inclusive leadership style, where he encourages different viewpoints and works intentionally to gain new perspectives to realize unimagined opportunities. Genck received a bachelor's degree in Recreation Administration and Business Management from St. Francis University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University.
