Here's how to watch Thursday's quarterfinals

The DI women's lacrosse championship continues this Thursday, May 19 with quarterfinals. All four games will be televised on ESPNU and available to stream live on WatchESPN.

Quarterfinal matchups set for 2022 DI women's lacrosse tournament

The second round of the DI women's lacrosse championship is all done and the quarterfinal matchups are set. There were no major upsets in the second round. No. 1 North Carolina had the largest win of the day, 24-2, over Virginia. 

The quarterfinals will be played on Thursday, May 19.

The 2022 DI women's lacrosse championship begins today with 13 first round matches. Today's winners will advance to the second round on Sunday. The top three seeds — No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Maryland and No. 3 Boston College — await their respective opponents in the second round.

A new champion will be crowned Sunday, May 29.

Three first round games moved up due to weather

The first round of the 2022 DI women's lacrosse championship begins Friday, May 13. Due to threat of inclement weather, three matchups have been bumped up to the early afternoon.

Virginia and Southern California will now start their game at noon ET in Chapel Hill, North Carolina while both games in Gainesville, Florida have also been adjusted. No. 7 Florida vs. Mercer will start at noon and Jacksonville vs. Stanford is now scheduled for 2:30 ET.

2022 DI women's lacrosse championship bracket revealed

The NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Committee has released the bracket for the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship.

North Carolina was selected as the overall No. 1 seed after finishing 18-0 and winning the Atlantic Coast Conference championship. 

Big Ten Conference champion Maryland (17-1) earned the No. 2 seed in the field, while Boston College enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed with a 16-3 record. Northwestern (13-4) rounds out the top four seeds.

How to watch the 2022 DI women's lacrosse selection show

The field for the 2022 DI women's lacrosse tournament will be revealed Sunday, May 8 at 9 p.m. ET live on ESPNU. Twenty-nine teams will qualify for this year's tournament. The first round is set to begin May 13.

DI women's lacrosse championship history

Boston College won its first DI women's lacrosse championship last season with a 16-10 win over Syracuse. Maryland still leads the sport with 14 national titles. The Terrapins' most recent title was in 2019 over Boston College.
