St. Thomas (Minn.) jumped two spots to No. 2 in this week's NCBWA/ poll. Linfield remained No. 1 and took 22 of 25 first-place votes, with the Tommies receiving two No. 1 ballots.

Head coach Chris Olean's Tommies (22-4 overall, 10-0 MIAC) are winners of 17 of their past 18 games.

St. Thomas had a 17-day layoff due to three April snowstorms. It then went 6-0 in a four-day span last week and outscored St. John's (Minn.), Macalester and St. Olaf 80-14.

The Tommies have been in the top six all season after a third-place national finish in 2012.

Following St. Thomas in the top five is third-ranked SUNY Cortland, No. 4 Wisconsin-Whitewater and No. 5 Kean.

Bridgewater (Va.) and Illinois Wesleyan made the biggest leaps with four-spot climbs to No. 19 and 20, respectively.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin-Stevens Point was the lone team to enter the poll. The Pointers took the No. 23 slot.
