TUSCON, Ariz. -- Leadoff hitter Ben Podobinski went 5-for-5 and walked twice and drove in six runs as No. 9 St. Thomas (Minn.) scored a 26-6 win against No. 14-ranked Concordia-Chicago on Friday.
Tommy Danczyk pitched six scoreless innings in relief for the victory.
Kelvin Stroik and Tim Kuzniar each had four hits for the Tommies, who rallied from a 6-3 deficit in the fourth inning. A 10-run fifth inning let UST pull away.
St. Thomas (4-1) plays a Saturday twinbill against Simpson (Iowa) and one single game on Sunday against Concordia-Chicago.
