Baylor Athletics | April 22, 2014 BU players to shave heads for cancer awareness Share WACO, Texas -- Following Baylor baseball’s game against Kansas on Saturday, the Bears will shave their heads at Baylor Ballpark to raise money for the Vs. Cancer Foundation. All proceeds will benefit the Vs. Cancer Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids’ lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts. Of the proceeds, the foundation will send half to benefit McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, Texas, and the other half will benefit national childhood cancer research. All fans are invited to shave their heads via Sport Clips with the team for a minimum donation of $10 to be collected on game day. Fans also can donate by visiting the team’s website at http://baylor.vs-cancer.org. The team has raised more than $700 and has a goal of $5,000.
