Moore Ks 14 as Oregon State tops NDSU

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Andrew Moore set a postseason school record with 14 strikeouts and top national seed Oregon State got past North Dakota State 2-1 Friday night in the NCAA Corvallis Regional.

Oregon State (43-12) got a two-out solo home run from Dylan Davis to take the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. Oregon State's bullpen took over from there to shut down the Bisons and seal the victory.

Moore (6-5) was dominant after giving up a solo home run to Kyle Kleinendorst in the second inning. He gave up four hits and North Dakota State did not advance a runner past second base after the second inning.

OSU tied it at 1 on Tyler Morrison's RBI groundout in the second inning.

Kleinendorst went 2-4 with an RBI for North Dakota State (25-25).

David Ernst (4-5) gave up two runs on 10 hits in 7.1 innings.
