Marlow's single off Jon Duplantier (2-3) scored Zane Gurwitz, who doubled to lead off the inning. John Curtiss (2-2) threw four perfect innings for the win for Texas (40-18), who will face the winner of the Rice-Texas A&M elimination game Sunday night. C.J. Hinojosa's sacrifice fly scored Mark Payton to tie it at 2 for Texas in the eighth. Payton and Tres Barrera, who had an RBI in the sixth, each had two hits.
