An opossum causes delay during LSU-Arkansas game

Just when you thought the LSU-Arkansas baseball series had seen it all this weekend, think again.

A day after LSU held off Arkansas in a crazy game that featured an unoffical triple play, an opossum scurried its way into the outfield at Alex Box Stadium and caused a delay during the seventh inning.

Check out the LSU ground crew wrangle the baby opossum with the assist from Arkansas outfielder Carson Shaddy:

The opossum must have been a good omen for the Tigers though, who rallied to force extra innings and completed the comeback with a walk-off in the 10th.

LSU has seemed to fully embrace the #RallyPossum, which trended on social media quickly Saturday night.

Looks like LSU baseball may have to adopt the Rally Possum as a new mascot.
