Tulane eliminates Ole Miss in Oxford

Tulane's Jake Rogers slammed a home run in the top of the ninth inning as the Green Wave eliminated Ole Miss 6-5 in the Oxford regional.

Ole Miss took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a pair of home runs. The teams traded the lead in the seventh inning with each bringing in a pair of runs before Rogers sent a shot flying out of Swayze Field in the ninth. Corey Merrill walked the potential game-tying run but forced the Rebels into a groundout to earn the win.

The loss brings the Rebels' season to an end while the Green Wave advance to face the winner of Boston College and Utah on Sunday.
