Ole Miss took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a pair of home runs. The teams traded the lead in the seventh inning with each bringing in a pair of runs before Rogers sent a shot flying out of Swayze Field in the ninth. Corey Merrill walked the potential game-tying run but forced the Rebels into a groundout to earn the win.
The loss brings the Rebels' season to an end while the Green Wave advance to face the winner of Boston College and Utah on Sunday.
Per @ESPN_Schick, Ole Miss is just the 10th host school to go 0-2 since the tourney expanded to 64 teams in 1999.
