Extra innings during the postseason can be a stressful time, especially when a team is one loss away from its season ending.
But Texas Tech kept its dreams of Omaha alive with a 3-1 win over East Carolina in the 13th inning.
With two outs in the top of the 13th, the Red Raiders loaded the bases and the Big 12 Player of the Year Eric Gutierrez drove in the pair of game-winning runs. It was Gutierrezâ first hit of the Super Regional after going 0-5 previously in Game 2 and 0-4 Friday night.
