If you’ve been following the College World Series, chances are you’ve seen the following video:

The clip went viral, receiving more than 34 million views on Facebook and several more elsewhere.

On Tuesday night, ‘Stare Down Sammy’ was back for more. He’s here at TD Ameritrade Park, fresh new haircut and all, and he’s turned into a bit of a local celebrity. Sammy was interviewed on the ESPN broadcast by Kaylee Hartung, and as usual, he nailed it. He also made it up on stadium videoboard, where he triumphed in, you guessed it, a staring contest.

Hilarious. It’s safe to say that the College World Series is one of the most fun events in sports.

Joe Boozell has been a college basketball writer for NCAA.com since 2015. His work has also appeared in Bleacher Report, FOXSports.com and NBA.com. Joe’s claim to fame since joining NCAA.com: he’s predicted the correct national championship game twice… and picked the wrong winner both times. Growing up, Joe squared off against both Anthony Davis and Frank Kaminsky in the Chicagoland basketball scene. You can imagine how that went.
