Numbers of the night

The College World Series is just full of numbers. For instance, roughly 2.5 percent of Division I team (8 of 301) make it to TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska, and get the chance to win the national championship. 

We take a look at some of the key stats and figures to come from of Day 2 at the College World Series.




Cal State Fullerton scored its first run in the College World Series since its last appearance in 2009.


TCU 10, LSU 3


Cody Jones scored three of TCU's 10 runs in its win against LSU.
Starting pitcher Preston Morrison delivered for TCU, retiring the last 12 hitters he faced.
The Tigers' first run at the 2015 College World Series against TCU was also an historic one.
