Numbers of the night

The College World Series is just full of numbers. For instance, roughly 2.5 percent of Division I team (8 of 301) make it to TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska, and get the chance to win the national championship.

We take a look at some of the key stats and figures to come from of Day 6 at the College World Series.

TCU 8, LSU 4
TCU will look to improve to 6-0 when it faces Vanderbilt on Friday. 
Five has been the magical number this CWS as no team has lost when scoring at least five runs.
No LSU pitcher has gone more than 1.2 innings, leading to a CWS-record-tying eight pitchers used in one game. 
Trey Teakell fires a perfect 4.1 innings for TCU, retiring all 13 LSU batters he faced on 36 pitches.
LSU catcher Kade Scivicque nails his second TCU runner of the game, bringing his season total to 21 caught stealing.
Out of LSU's 54 victories this year, the Tigers have scored in the first inning in 22 of them. 
Cody Jones drew a four-pitch walk to start the fifth for TCU, allowing him to reach base for the 37th game in a row.
Evan Skoug gives TCU the lead with his team-leading 45th RBI of the season.
