Did You Know: Virginia has come from behind in six of its eight postseason wins and has scored the winning run in the seventh inning or later in seven of its CWS victories.   Did You Know: Vanderbilt has hit a home run in its past four CWS games and is coming off a win against TCU where the Commodores plated seven runs on 11 hits. 
On the Bump: Sophomore Connor Jones get the Finals start. He leads all Cavalier pitchers in strikeouts with 107 K's on the season.   On the Bump: Junior ace Carson Fulmer gets the call for Vandy. He was named SEC Pitcher of the Year, earning a conference Triple Crown.
In the Box: Daniel Pinero extended his hitting streak to seven games. He leads Virginia players with eight hits in the College World Series.   In the Box: Bryan Reynolds has recorded a hit in 11 of the past 12 games and an RBI in the six of the past eight games.
Pepper: Virginia and Vanderbilt met in last year's College World Series Finals. This year's rematch is only the third time in two teams have met in the College World Series Finals in back-to-back years (Oregon State vs. North Carolina in 2006-07, and Southern California vs. Arizona State in 1972-73). Both Oregon State and Southern California repeated as champions.
• The Commodores are 42-3 when leading after eight innings this season. 
• Virginia is 31-8 when scoring at least five runs this season.
• Virginia has never lost consecutive games at the College World Series in its 17 games.
