Youngstown State defeated Kent State 5-4 on April 30. The Penguins beat the Golden Flashes in their last at bat for the second consecutive meeting. YSU, which also won against Kent State on April 8, topped the Golden Flashes twice in the same season for the first time since 1979.
Illinois' Casey Fletcher hit three home runs against Southern Illinois on April 30 in a 10-1 victory. He's the seventh Illini with three home runs in a game and first since Willie Argo hit three at No. 1 LSU on March 7, 2009. Fletcher entered with only one home run this season.
Seattle topped Washington 6-3 on April 29. The Redhawks clinched the season series against the Huskies for the first time since the Redhawk program returned to varsity status in 2010.

LSU, which faced deficits of 5-0 and 6-1 during Tuesday’s game versus Alcorn State, recorded its biggest comeback victory since April 7, 2012, when the Tigers also erased a five-run deficit at Florida.
Western Kentucky held on to beat Austin Peay 6-5 on April 29. Ian Tompkins struck out Austin Peay's Cayce Bredlau with the bases loaded in the ninth inning to break WKU's single-season saves record while preserving the Hilltoppers' win. His 12 saves are tied for the sixth most in the nation in 2014 and break Matt Wilhite's former record of 11 in 2003.
TCU shutout Kansas State 5-0 on Friday for its 13th shutout of the season. TCU tied the Big 12 Conference shutout record held by Texas in 2011.
