RADNOR, Pa. -- SUNY Purchase is moving on in the NCAA Tournament following a 79-69 win against Hartwick on Friday night on the campus of Cabrini College at Nerney Field House. Michael McNair scored a game-high 28 points for Purchase in the victory.

McNair shot 8-for-10 overall and knocked down 3-of-3 attempts from beyond the 3-point arc. He also shot 9-for-10 from the charity stripe.

Marvin Billups (13), Corey Orgias (11) and Charles Thompson (13) also reached double figures for Purchase. Purchase (22-4) shot 47.3 percent from the field for the game.

Mark Blazek and Jared Suderley each netted 21 points for Hartwick (17-11) in the loss. Blazek converted 7-of-15 field goal attempts, while Suderley shot 9-for-18 overall.

Chris Ryder recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Hartwick shot just 39.3 percent for the game.

The win advances Purchase to tomorrow night’s second round game at Nerney Field House at 7 p.m. Purchase will play the winner of the night’s second game, Cabrini versus New Jersey City.
