Kenny Kadji burst onto the scene last season, teaming with Reggie Johnson to become of the best frontcourts in the nation. Kadji thrived once Johnson returned to the lineup in January, being able to step back for a lethal three-point shot. He was the Hurricanes' best outside shooter and was ranked sixth in the ACC in blocked shots and 18th in scoring. Kadji finished as one of only seven players in the ACC to score 30-plus points in a game in 2011-12.

One of the biggest reasons why North Carolina State is ranked so high in the preseason polls? This guy -- C.J. Leslie. After announcing that he was coming back to school for his junior season, the hype starting to build on the Wolfpack -- and with good reason. Leslie ewas one of three ACC players to rank in the top 10 in scoring, field-goal percentage, and rebounding.

While Michael Snaer might be the best defensive player in the ACC, he proved last season that he also has a flare for the dramatic. Snaer beat Duke in Durham and Virginia Tech in Tallahassee with 3-pointers at the buzzer. His 3-pointer late in the ACC tournament semifinals beat Duke, leading the Seminoles to eventually claim the 2012 conference tournament title.
