Gavrilovic is leaving Dayton for another school or to play in France

DAYTON, Ohio -- Backup center Alex Gavrilovic is leaving Dayton and will play at another school as a graduate student or return to France and play professionally.

Gavrilovic will receive his undergraduate degree this summer. Gavrilovic could play for another Division I school next season without sitting out.

In three seasons at Dayton, the 6-foot-9 center played in 67 games and averaged 3 points and 1.9 rebounds. He played in 15 games last season, when the Flyers reached the regional final in the NCAA tournament.

Dayton went 26-11 last season and was one of six Atlantic 10 teams to reach the tournament. The Flyers return three starters, including leading scorer Jordan Sibert (12.2 points per game) and forward Dyshawn Pierre (11.2 points).
