Molinari resigns as head coach from Western Illinois

MACOMB, Ill. -- Jim Molinari has resigned as Western Illinois' coach.

Athletic director Tommy Bell announced the resignation Thursday night and said associate head coach Wade Hokenson will serve as acting head coach.

The Leathernecks were 10-20 last season and 79-104 overall in six seasons under Molinari. He's 302-290 in 20 years at Northern Illinois, Bradley and Minnesota -- where he was interim head coach in 2006-07.
