As we continue to count down the start of the 2014-15 college basketball season, schools across the country are holding pep rallies, which include contests for their players to show off improved skills and looks. There are scrimmages and 3-point contests, of course, but the main attraction is the dunk contest.
While plenty of players have hops and can recreate classic dunks, this from Georgia State's Isaiah Dennis is one of the more impressive ones. Only 6-foot tall, Dennis jumps over three GSU teammates, including 6-10 Curtis Washington, before slamming it down. Check it out:
Unsurpisingly, Dennis won the dunk contest at the GSU JAM event. (Yes, they're playing off NBA JAM, but who could blame them?)
If any doubt remains about the dunk, here's a still of Dennis during takeoff.
