College basketball: Elmira scores 6 points in 8 seconds and wins on incredible buzzer-beater

In one of the craziest comeback wins this season, Elmira nailed two improbable shots in eight seconds to grab its second win of the season and a big Division III non-conference victory over Endicott (4-5) in Salem, Massachusetts.

After trailing for much of the game, Elmira (2-7) came back to within three points of the lead. With less than 10 seconds remaining, Gino Leonardi knocked down a 3-pointer (he finished with 13 points in the second half) to tie the game with eight seconds to go.

On the next possession, Elmira's Justin Henderson scooped up a loose ball and heaved a three-quarter shot as time expired. Amazingly, the shot went down, the bench went wild and the Soaring Eagles from Elmira, New York, finished the second day of the Salem Holiday Tournament with a stunning 62-59 victory.
