Teams to wear gold laces in memory of 'Princess Lacey'

"Coaches vs. Cancer" started this week and teams across college basketball are joining together in the fight against cancer.

A few teams will wear special gold laces for the #LaceUpforLacey campaign in memory of Lacey Holsworth, an 8-year-old Michigan State fan who lost her battle with cancer in April 2014.

Holsworth, who was known as "Princess Lacey" by Michigan State fans, formed a special friendship with former Spartans star Adreian Payne during the 2013-14 basketball season. Their story touched hearts throughout the country.

It is an incredible gesture to see coaches and teams across the country united in the same cause.

2021 NIT to feature 16 teams, all rounds in Dallas-Fort Worth
