WATCH: Jones hits 3/4-court shot before half

Now that's a way to end a half -- and hit your first career 3-pointer.

With two seconds left in the first half of Saturday's game against Marquette, Butler's Roosevelt Jones took the inbounds pass about even with the top of the key and banked in a three-quarter court heave. The shot tied the game at 37 as the Bulldogs and Golden Eagles to the locker rooms.

Jones isn't known for his long-range shooting abilities -- he had only taken one three-point attempt in his career before that.

In an NCAA tournament where no narrative seems to stay the same for 48 hours, the winds have changed again. Gonzaga is still here, inexplicably and miraculously, no longer a dominant and unstoppable force but the survivor of an epic game. And not an unlucky one at that.
