Mississippi State basketball: Quinndary Weatherspoon's buzzer-beater defeats Vanderbilt

There's nothing quite like a buzzer-beater and the game-winning 3 from Mississippi State freshman guard Quinndary Weatherspoon on Tuesday night was one of sweetest you'll see.

State trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half to Vanderbilt. But a late rally by the Bulldogs gave Weatherspoon (24 points) a chance to end the game in dramatic fashion.

He did not disappoint.

Here's another look:

Mississippi State improved to 11-14 overall and 4-9 in the SEC. The Bulldogs are 4-4 in their last eight conference games since starting 0-5. Vanderbilt is 15-11 (7-6) after the defeat.
