North Carolina basketball: Alum paints giant Dean Smith mural

Dean Smith inspired many during his time as coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels. And to honor the legacy he left behind, UNC alumnus Scott Nurkin paid tribute with a huge Dean Smith mural.

Nurkin began this project over a year ago after Smith's death last February, and early on in the process he told the Daily Tar Heel that Smith "wasn't just a basketball coach... He taught people how to lead their lives well."

The mural is already amazing, and Nurkin said it's not even finished yet. The final project should be incredible.
