WATCH: Michigan walk-on awarded scholarship via scary prank

It's funny how emotions can change in a matter of seconds.

Michigan men's basketball senior walk-on Andrew Dakich was awarded a scholarship by coach John Beilein at Monday's team meeting. However, before elation struck, there was a moment of fear.

Beilein got creative with the scholarship announcement by pulling a prank on Dakich, having someone in law enforcement enter the room to request that Dakich report to the university's compliance office immediately due to his conduct. The visitor then continued, as a surprised Dakich leaned forward in his seat, to say that there was where he'd sign the paperwork for a full scholarship.

The room then erupted in cheers as his teammates congrulated him and the officer shook his hand.
